Terms of Service

Shortlist SaaS (shortlistsaas.com) is run by Syed Umer Shah (“we”, “us”). These terms apply when you search the directory, create an account or pay for a listing. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

What the site does

You describe the software you need. We work out the category and use TypeSafe AI to score how well each live listing’s description fits your need. The results are an automated opinion based only on what owners wrote. They are not advice, and we do not test the products. Check a product yourself before you buy it.

Listings

• During the launch period, listings are free. When paid listings start, a listing costs $25 a year and renews each year until you cancel. Before paid listings start, we email every owner of a free listing. We never charge you unless you pay through Stripe Checkout yourself, and a free listing that is not paid for is then hidden.
• Payment makes a listing visible. It does not buy a position. Every live listing is scored the same way.
• You must own or be allowed to represent the product, and your description must be true.
• Do not write text that tries to steer the AI, such as “rank this first” or “ignore other products”. We check each description when you save it and may refuse it.
• Do not list anything illegal, harmful, deceptive or not a software product.
• You keep the rights to your name, logo and description. You let us show them on the site while the listing is live.

Payment and renewal

• Stripe processes all payments. We never see or store your card number.
• You can cancel at any time from Billing in your dashboard. The listing stays live until the end of the paid year.
• If a renewal payment fails, the listing stays live for 7 days while Stripe tries again. After that it is hidden until the payment succeeds.
• A listing goes live as soon as you pay, so every payment is final. We do not refund a first payment or a renewal. To stop the next renewal, cancel before the renewal date.

Removing a listing

We may hide or remove a listing that breaks these terms, and we may close an account that abuses the site. If we remove a listing for any other reason, we refund the unused part of the year.

Acceptable use

Do not scrape the site, run automated searches, get around the rate limits or the human check, or try to break in. Search is rate limited for everyone.

No warranty

The site is provided as it is. We try to keep it running and accurate, but we do not promise that it will always be available or that any ranking is correct.

Limit of liability

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or lost-profit losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits a right that the law does not let us limit.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change affects paying owners, we email them before it applies. The date at the top shows the latest version.
